Hello, I'm Walter from WildOn Tours. Thank you for stopping by!

"When life gives you lemons,” as the saying goes, “Make lemonade.” But what do you do when life throws travel bans and stay-at-home orders at you? You build a travel agency, of course!

I have been passionate about travel and outdoor adventures my entire life. The forced isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic gave me an opportunity to learn more about the travel industry and set the path for a career as a travel advisor.

Born in Canada and raised in Italy, I discovered my love of the outdoors as a child, when I joined a chapter of the boy scouts. I spent many summers hiking and camping with fellow scouts in the mountains of Abruzzo, an Italian region which is home to national parks and nature reserves. After returning to Canada, I spent two decades travelling across north America, Europe and parts of China, and began planning tours for family and friends as well. Finally, I realized that this was just what I wanted to do for a living.

By 2014 I was the organizer of the Adventure Club of Toronto and other adventure and travel Meetup groups. I have also organized local and international hiking tours in conjunction with a Toronto-based organization for four years. After researching various career paths in the travel sector, I decided to become a travel advisor and obtained my professional license in Ontario.

In 2022 I finally launched my own online agency – WildOn Tours. We are affiliated with Trevello, a national network of travel professionals with offices in three cities across Canada. Also, we are proud members of the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
